Q&A-What are some California Wineries that Emphasize Complexity over Power?

Here’s another question that someone asked me recently that others may want to know.

Question: Are you aware of any wineries in the Napa area that emphasize complexity over power?

Answer: While reading wine related information on other websites, I happened to come across the following article written by Eric Asimov of the New York Times. It addressed the question and mentions a list of wineries up in the Napa area that produce “balanced, restrained, Napa cabernets”:

Here’s a few winerires I found in the Livermore California AVA that have quite a few wines that are “old world” style, emphasize complexity over power, or have “wines with restraint” as the article says:

• Big White House Winery
• Cedar Mountain Winery
• Crooked Vine Winery
• Page Mill Winery
